DIY: Easy Scented Eye Mask

Things needed:
  • Material of your choice
  • A bowl of rice
  • Some dried, relaxing herbs e.g. lavender
  • An elastic band
  • Needle and thread
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Sunglasses (to draw around)
I prefer not to soak the herbs and rice together, but you may if you have some time on your hands :)

  1. Mix the herbs with the rice until evenly separated. After this, you can soak them as above if you want.
  2. Fold the material in half.
  3. Draw around your sunglasses on the material, and then cut it out. You should have 2 separate pieces.
  4. With the needle and thread, sew them both together around the edges BUT leave a small gap in for the rice.
  5. Turn the sewn cloth inside out (so the seams don't show) and fill it with the infused rice, preferably with a funnel.
  6. Once the cloth is filled, stitch it up securely.
  7. Sew one end the elastic band onto one end of the almost complete eye mask, and do the same with the other ends.
You have now completed your scented eye mask!
